You are able to borrow a maximum of $25,000, tax free from your RRSP to put towarads purchasing your home under the Home Buyer's Plan. To participate in the HBP, you must need the following conditions:
- You must be a Canadian resident
- Be a first time home buyer
- Enter into a written agreement of Purchase and Sale, or construct a qualifying home for yourself or a person with a disability.
- Designate the home as your principal residence within one year of purchasing or constructing your home.
- You must make all RRSP withdrawals in the same tax year.
